About You, the reader

The purpose of this blog is to keep reading notes and useful material for my teaching and writing all in one place. This however does not preclude that my posts could be useful for people (colleagues, students and business associates) interested in the same topics as I am.

So, let me know if anything that you find on this blog is useful to your studies, your classes or your work,  or if there are any topics that I might cover.

About the content

This blog is a repository of my reading notes and useful material. The posts, therefore, are about topics in which I have an academic or personal interest. Naturally, they also regard the topics that I cover in my classes.

One of the features of the blog is that one can create pages (”About”, that you are currently reading, is a page) that have fixed content and links much like a webpage. I will use those pages in a more structured way, as I am doing with Biz Comm where I keep the contents of my Business communication class.

About the author

I am a business professor at a liberal arts college in North Georgia.

Over 20 years experience in corporate finance in industry and for not-for-profit organizations. I have taught and led executive education seminars in Canada, the U.S., Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Spain, and the People’s Republic of China.

B.A. from McGill University, MBA from Concordia University, PhD from IESE / Universidad de Navarra.

Googled: I know that am not him nor him nor him. As far as I know, I am not directly related to a famous hockey player, a famous actress/singer or a not-so-famous Cher impersonator. I do not work in advertising. I never named a city after myself nor a lake.

Googled (cont’d): I wrote my doctoral dissertation on trust and I published a digest of it here (pdf in Spanish).
